Despite seeing its six-run lead whittled down by the end, Derby still held off Salina Central for an 8-6 victory on Tuesday. Salina Central scored four runs in the failed comeback on a single by Dix, an error, and a single by #10.
Salina Central scored four runs in the seventh inning, but Derby still managed to pull out the victory. Salina Central big bats were led by Dix, Speer, and #10, all driving in runs in the frame.
Salina Central got things started in the first inning. Dix drove in one when he doubled.
Derby pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Hunter Igo singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run and Jackson Syring singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
