Derby had everything working on Tuesday, winning big over Hutchinson 12-2
Derby scored five runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Coleson Syring and Mercer Thatcher, a home run by Kade Snodgrass, and a groundout by Grant Ash.
Carson Olmstead earned the win for Derby. The righty allowed one hit and one run over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Jace Jenkins threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Krol took the loss for Hutchinson. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing six hits and seven runs.
Derby smacked three home runs on the day. Snodgrass went yard in the fourth inning. Karson Klima had a dinger in the third inning. Syring had a four bagger in the second inning.
Derby totaled 13 hits in the game. Snodgrass, Saben Seager, Klima, and Syring each managed multiple hits for Derby. Snodgrass led Derby with three hits in four at bats.
