Eisenhower High School vs Derby High School
0 1
1 -   1
2 -   -

The Eisenhower Tigers create enough of a challenge on their own. Now add in a downpour, a lightning delay and a thirty degree temperature drop and it only magnifies what was already going to be a tough night. The Panthers created plenty of chances through the first part of the match and held well defensively, meaning that even thought they were not scoring, neither was Eisenhower. Logan Eickelman in the 29’ hit the long service in from a free kick, to have it bounce over the keeper for the only score of the night.
It was during halftime that the weather changed, with the wind shifting and bringing the cold and storms in as well. The lightning caused a roughly forty-five minute delay and that’s when the game got even more interesting. Eisenhower started shelling the Panther back line with longs balls, but Derby fought them off. When Eisenhower did get through, the shots were off target. Derby had a great chance to add a second goal but missed just wide on the shot from inside the six yard box.
Now it is on to regionals for the Panthers (7-6-2, 2-3-1) with the first round of regionals on Tuesday at Panther Stadium.
